WHY CHOOSE AN ADJUSTABLE MACEBELL ?

COMPACT

The OneMace® Tactical adjustable macebell is specially designed to maximize your storage space. If you don't have the space to store several macebells of different weights, it's a practical, compact solution, ideal for your training sessions.

ECONOMIC

A basic set of 2 or 3 macebells generally costs between 150 and 250 euros, depending on the brand. If you opt for a complete set with intermediate weights, the price can quickly rise to several hundred or even over 1000 euros. With the OneMace® Tactical adjustable macebell, for a price similar to that of a basic set, you benefit from 21 macebells from 6 to 30kg in 1kg increments (except for 7kg, 9kg, 11kg and 29kg weights).

TRANSPORTABLE

Whether you're on vacation or enjoy training outdoors, you can easily stow your OneMace® Tactical adjustable macebell in the boot of your car, so you can train anywhere, anytime.

ERGONOMICS

Unlike the majority of adjustable macebells on the market, the OneMace® Tactical retains the classic shape of a true steel mace, with a round head. Even if it takes slightly longer to adjust than other models, it makes up for it with exceptional ergonomics and impeccable safety.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

What is the OneMace® Tactical hardstyle adjustable macebell ?

The OneMace® Tactical loadable macebell is adjustable from 6 to 30kg, in 1kg increments. It's the perfect solution for steel mace enthusiasts who want to train at home, without having to invest in multiple macebells or sacrifice space. With 21 macebells in one, it saves both space and money, while guaranteeing impeccable quality.

Adjusting the weight of the OneMace® Tactical adjustable macebell is easy with the two wrenches supplied. Start by unscrewing the screw with the allen key to remove the lower shell. Inside, the macebell is hollow. Insert the desired weight discs on the threaded rod, then secure them by tightening the nut with the hexagonal key. Finally, replace and screw back the lower shell to close the macebell securely.

The 24mm-diameter steel threaded rod, securely welded to the upper shell, together with the nut and screw, guarantee maximum safety. There's no risk of opening, even during ballistic exercises such as the full 360 swing or the alternating 10 to 2 swing.

Whether you're at home or on the move, the OneMace® Tactical follows you everywhere and is suitable for all levels of training.

Why incorporate the macebell or steel mace into your training ?

The macebell, or steel mace, is a highly versatile training tool, which can be used to complement traditional bodybuilding exercises or as a practice in its own right. It stands out for its ability to incorporate rotational movements, often overlooked in traditional training programs.

The emblematic movements of macebell training are the full swing (360) and the alternate swing (10 to 2). These exercises, performed with one or two hands, improve upper-body power, endurance and mobility, primarily targeting the core, shoulders, triceps and back.

What's the difference between a macebell and a clubbell ?

Although macebells and clubbells are similar in design - with the center of gravity offset and the weight concentrated on one side - and in the exercises they enable (such as the swing or the mill), they differ in several important respects.

Both are excellent tools for developing rotational strength, core stability, grip strength, and improving overhead mobility. So, how do you choose between the two ?

The main distinction lies in the length of the handle. The macebell has a long handle with the weight concentrated at its tip, creating a long lever arm. Conversely, the clubbell distributes the weight along its handle, offering a shorter lever arm.

As a result, the macebell is particularly effective for strengthening the rotational power of the torso (dynamic core strength), while the clubbell is better suited to improving shoulder and back mobility, as well as grip strength and upper body strength.

The origins of macebell

The macebell, commonly used today in modern disciplines such as macelifting, has its roots in the gada, a traditional Indian weapon. The gada, a heavy mace, was used by Indian warriors and wrestlers to develop strength, endurance and agility.

Over time, the gada evolved into the macebell, now used in contemporary fitness and functional training programs. While the fundamental movements, such as the swing, have been preserved, the macebell has been redesigned to offer greater safety and maneuverability. Its objective remains unchanged: to develop strength, coordination and improve overall fitness.

HARDSTYLE ADJUSTABLE MACEBELL VS COMPETITION ADJUSTABLE MACEBELL

What doesn't change

  • Ball diameter: 21cm
  • Ball height: 18.5cm
  • Length: 120cm
  • Handle diameter: 4cm
  • The lower shell
  • Threaded rod and weights
  • Quality

What's different

  • Handle texture: partially knurled handle for the hardstyle model, smooth handle for the competition version.
  • Stop ball: 5cm stop ball on the competition macebell, whereas there is none on the hardstyle model.

Which adjustable macebell to choose ?

  • If you train exclusively for Macelifting: choose the competition version. Its smooth handle and stop ball are designed to enable you to perform long sets without hurting your hands.
  • If you train Steel Mace Hardstyle: choose the hardstyle model. Its knurled handle offers a better grip, ideal for short, heavy series.
  • If you train in a mixed way: The choice will depend on your preferences, but in our opinion, the competition macebell is the most versatile. It allows you to perform long sets, unlike the hardstyle model whose knurled handle can become uncomfortable over time. What's more, it offers an excellent grip, even for exercises with a heavy mace.

This is the best Gada you can buy right now. And yes, I would call it a gada instead of a mace because I associate mace with flow style training. You can do heavy flows with this but that’s only if you are really really advanced. This thing is best used for traditional gada training I think and it’s worth every cent. If you enjoy heavy mace/gada training get yourself one of these.

The handle has good length. The weights are easy to change. A good deal of weight combinations make progression easy. All in all a very good mace.
The only negative is that some weight combinations are hard to fix with the nut.

Una buena macebell, solo dos apuntes. El marcado del agarre es bastante agresivo y es aconsejable usar guantes. Al final del mango se hecha en falta un tope para saber donde acaba el agarre cuando haces muchas repeticiones

The discs are locked by a nut on the inside, so they don't move during use.

The threaded rod is screwed about 2cm into the upper body of the macebell, then welded. There's no risk of the macebell opening during use, even for ballistic exercises.

Unfortunately, yes, the paint will fade. Mainly at the base of the macebell when you place it on the ground.

This modular macebell is in hardstyle format and therefore does not comply with Macelifting standards. Long sets (several minutes) could be uncomfortable due to the knurling on the handle.

In fact, the center of gravity will not always be in the same place, depending on the discs you have inserted. But quite honestly, you'll hardly feel the difference (if at all).
