WHY CHOOSE AN ADJUSTABLE MACEBELL ?

COMPACT

The OneMace® adjustable competition macebell is designed to optimize your storage space. If you can't store several macebells of different weights, it offers a practical, space-saving alternative, perfect for your training sessions.

ECONOMIC

A basic set of 2 or 3 competition macebells generally costs between 400 and 500 euros, depending on the brand. If you want a complete set including intermediate weights, the price can easily climb to several hundred or even over 1000 euros. With the OneMace® adjustable macebell, for the same price as a basic set, you get 21 competition macebells, from 6 to 30 kg in 1 kg increments (with the exception of the 7 kg, 9 kg, 11 kg and 29 kg weights).

TRANSPORTABLE

Whether you're going on vacation or prefer to train outdoors, the OneMace® adjustable macebell fits easily into the boot of your car, giving you the freedom to train wherever and whenever you want.

ERGONOMICS

Unlike most adjustable macebells on the market, the OneMace® retains the authentic shape of a real competition macebell, with a 4 cm diameter handle and round head. While it may take a little longer to adjust than other models, it offers optimum ergonomics and total safety.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

What is the OneMace® adjustable competition macebell ?

The OneMace® loadable macebell is an adjustable competition macebell, offering a weight range from 6 to 30kg in 1kg increments. Perfect for macelifters wishing to train at home, it allows you to equip yourself without breaking the bank or cluttering up your space, while maintaining professional quality. It combines 21 macebells into one, saving you space and money.

Weight adjustment is simple, thanks to the two wrenches supplied. Simply unscrew the screw with the allen key to remove the lower shell, insert the desired weight discs on the threaded rod, and lock them in place by tightening the nut with the hexagonal key. Once the disks are in place, simply screw the lower shell back on.

With a 24 mm steel threaded rod welded to the upper shell, the OneMace® guarantees optimum safety. There's no risk of opening, even during ballistic exercises such as the full 360 swing or the alternating 10 to 2 swing.

Whether you're at home or on the move, the OneMace® adapts to all levels and accompanies you in your workouts, wherever you are.

Why train with a macebell or steel mace ?

The macebell or steel mace is a versatile training tool, which can be used as a complement to strength training or as a dedicated practice. The mace is particularly interesting for its ability to perform rotational movements, often neglected in traditional training programs.

The key movements in macebell practice are the full swing (360) and the alternate swing (10 to 2). These rotational exercises, performed with one or two arms, develop the power, endurance and mobility of upper-body muscles (mainly trunk, shoulders, triceps and back).

What's the difference between a macebell and a clubbell ?

Maces and clubs are similar in appearance: both have an offset center of gravity, with the weight on one side only. The exercises performed are also similar: mostly rotational movements such as the swing or the mill.

Both macebells and clubbells are useful for developing rotational strength, core stability, grip strength and overhead mobility. So how do you choose between a macebell and a clubbell ?

The big difference lies in the length of the handle. The macebell has a long handle with all the weight at the end, whereas the clubbell's weight is distributed along the handle. The macebell therefore has a very long lever arm, whereas that of the clubbell is shorter.

As a result, the macebell will be more effective in developing the power to rotate the torso (dynamic sheathing). As for the clubbell, it's better suited to developing shoulder and back mobility, as well as grip and upper-body strength.

Where does the macebell come from ?

The macebell, used today in modern disciplines such as macelifting, has its origins in the gada, a traditional fighting instrument from India. The gada is a heavy mace, historically used by Indian warriors and wrestlers to develop strength, endurance and agility.

Over time, the gada evolved into the macebell, used in contemporary fitness and functional training disciplines. While basic movements such as the swing have been retained, the macebell's design has been modernized to offer greater safety and manoeuvrability. The aim remains the same: to improve strength, coordination and overall fitness.

What is macelifting, or the sport of macebells ?

Macelifting is an endurance strength sport founded in 2005 and inspired by both the ancient Indian practice of gada and the Russian kettlebell sport. The macelifter uses a professional macebell (or competition macebell) and mainly performs the 360 swing and 300 swing with one arm.

The discipline comprises 8 events, and participants are classified by weight and gender: women's -65kg, women's +65kg, men's -75kg and men's +75kg. This relatively young sport combines technique and endurance, and is attracting a growing number of practitioners worldwide.

With the OneMace® adjustable competition macebell, you can take up the sport at home, without having to own several macebells.

DEMONSTRATION VIDEO

COMPETITION ADJUSTABLE MACEBELL VS HARDSTYLE ADJUSTABLE MACEBELL

What doesn't change

  • Ball diameter: 21cm
  • Ball height: 18.5cm
  • Length: 120cm
  • Handle diameter: 4cm
  • The lower shell
  • Threaded rod and weights
  • Quality

What's different

  • Handle texture: smooth handle for the competition model, knurled handle for the hardstyle version.
  • Stop ball: a 5cm stop ball is fitted to the competition macebell, whereas there is none on the hardstyle model.

Which adjustable macebell to choose ?

  • If you only train for Macelifting: opt for the competition version. The smooth handle and stop ball allow you to perform long sets without damaging your hands.
  • If you play Steel Mace Hardstyle: opt for the hardstyle model. The knurled handle is better suited to short, heavy series.
  • If you train in a mixed way: The choice will depend on your preferences. However, in our opinion, the competition macebell is the most versatile as it allows long series (which the hardstyle model does not because of the knurling), and the grip is still very good for heavy mace work.

In fact, the center of gravity will not always be in the same place, depending on the discs you have inserted. But quite honestly, you'll hardly feel the difference (if at all).
